It can be hard to exercise when you’re a new mum, but Lucy’s classes at Essex Fit Mums make it a fun and accessible way to get back to fitness while meeting new friends.
Lucy encourages Mum’s to bring their babies and children with them. The classes are warm and welcoming and help Mums gain confidence and meet new friends. She has opened an opportunity to get fit without the need for childcare and tries to keep costs as low as possible.
We met Lucy on an unseasonably chilly day just after a deluge of rain – but the 10 Mums attending the Boxercise class didn’t seem to mind and cheerfully headed into the garden for their morning session. “I love taking the garden sessions at my home”, says Lucy “The atmosphere is one of controlled chaos with the little ones running around, but that’s why Fit Mums works, you can bring the kids with you rather than having to find a baby sitter during the day, an almost impossible task. As it’s a Friday we’re having lunch together. My husband baked some bread before he went to work and the pulled pork is doing nicely in the oven.
Essex Mums completely supports the 3030Essex campaign. It just gives us another push to get active during June. We love a new challenge!!”
